TWP (Teens With a Purpose) - The Youth Movement is a creative youth development organization based out of Norfolk, Virginia that serves all of Hampton Roads. As youth and families come to Teens With a Purpose (TWP) for help, we give them hope; we highlight their strengths; we support and encourage, as they transform their lives and communities. Simply put, TWP teens are creatively cultivating the next generation of leaders.

 

We are a youth empowerment organization.
We believe in creating awareness in our community.
We address all the things that face the youth of our generation.
We understand that this means talking about what others are afraid to, and we wont be stopped.

 

OUR MISSION Teens With a Purpose, was formed in 1996 by Deirdre Love. In 2007, Teens With a Purpose became TWP-The Youth Movement, a 501(c) (3) non-profit youth development organization. The organization's 16 years of experience in training young leaders has been recognized both regionally and nationally. Our mission is as follows:

“to create a platform, to empower young people to use their voices, energy, abilities and talent to demonstrate their power to effect personal change and positively impact the lives of others through the arts and humanities, peer-led programs, and special events. We create a safe, non-judgmental environment for self-expression for all young people as we continue to promote healthy life choices.” See More
